The project: Convert the mercedes benz 300D sedan to run on WVO (waste vegetable oil)

Stage 1: Tune up / Routine Maintenance.

In the interests of having the best possible running engine to begin with, the following actions will be performed prior to the WVO conversion:

• 1.Change oil, oil filter, air filter, and both fuel filters.
• 2. Removal of EGR system and assorted vacuum lines
• 3.ALDA system service
• 4.Valve Adjustment
• 5. Fuel Hose Replacement
• 6.Fill tank with biodiesel to clean out fuel system.>

All these tasks were completed with the excepton of #5. After running biodiesel, nothing leaked, so everything was pretty much left alone. After the grease conversion the only fuel lines that still remain stock are the fitted hose which connects to the tank, and the injector return lines, save one which I replaced with clear lawn mower fuel line.
